ok finally got around to taking some pics of the new males..they are starting to color up really nice.

thats it for now..the males are in one tank the females are in another until the males mature to adulthood.

I just recieved my 2 new males from Pat yesterday (thanks  again Pat) and they are coloring up nice..they are still really small so im letting them grow up some before i introduce them to the females. then let the blogging begin. Havent posted much since i lost my male but i should be posting more now i will try to get pics of the new males soon

still no spawn today, but i havent had the chance to do what i want for their new home yet. i had some personal things come up that i had to take care of..i will try and get this all done by the weekend.and post somemore pics.Plans are to cover the pot in java moss and cut a small opening at the bottom of the pot for a door for access for them.

Still nothing as far as a spawn..I checked and coconuts are not in season here right now so im going to pull the clay pot and coat it with java mossand cut a small door in it ans see if that works..Going to be posting pics of my handy work later today when i get it finished..

The pair still haven't spawned yet..I think im going to try a half a cocont shell and see if that starts them going. This was refered to me by a guy that used to breed apistos, so i will try that.On a good note i got a male for my other female ..justr need to get him picked up.

well i checked the tank this morning and she is still carrying so no eggs yet..I will check on her again when the lights come on.

Well both fish started going in the pot today and the female is coloring up nice, so i dont think it will be to much longer. I will try to post here everyday and keep everyone posted.

I finally got some shots of the females and another shot of the male..These little fish have so much personality.

That's it for now..i am about to do a cleaning on their tank.have'nt noticed either one of them going into the clay pot today, so i might put it on its side, instead of inverted.

Lets see if i can figure out how to put pics on here..I put a clay pot in the tank with the pair and last night i noticed the female going in there..I have a pic of my male.

This is my first blog ever, so i figured i would try this for my apisto's when they spawn. I recieved my male on Valentines Day and i received 2 females on March 09, 2012.(thanks susankat over at wwwaquariumforum.com). I have one female in with the male and the other one is in a holding tank.Pic's to come tomorrow.
